On Tuesday, January 26, Tabor Hill Restaurant and Winery played host for the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting. Nearly 80 members enjoyed an appetizing dinner and meeting.
The meeting began with the election of new officers for the year. The Board is excited to add Stacy Loar-Porter and Kellen Van Hulle to it’s executive committee. Stacy will be serving as Second Vice President and Kellen is the new Treasurer. Griffin Ott, Chamber Board President, then gave a brief history of the Lakeshore Chamber and honored long-time board member and founding member, Bernice Tretheway. Bernice has been an active member of the Lakeshore Chamber for over 40 years. State Representative John Proos presented the Lakeshore Chamber with a letter of recognition for 40 years of service to the community. This year was the 40th anniversary of the incorporation of the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting was then concluded with the Business of the Year Presentation. This year’s recipient is Big Boy of Stevensville. Owners Brian Smith and Dave Hunt accepted the award along with manager Carla Imbordino. Congratulations to a deserving business that strives to make our community a better place to live.
